FAQ
How does the closed-circuit flush work on the furrow injection modules?
It prevents all agitation and regulation bypass from returning to tank by diverting the flow through the delivery system and out of an excess flow port.
Why do you need a manual pressure relief valve?
The manual pressure relief valve is in place to allow a maximum system pressure to be set. This prevents over pressurising products to ensure their effectiveness. This does not bypass in normal operation.
How does bypass regulation work?
Bypass regulation allows excess flow to return to tank without creating agitation which eliminates foaming issues in low levels of the tank.
How is bypass return different to agitation return?
Agitation return is designed to create turnover in the tank to maintain product suspension. Bypass return allows excess flow to return to the tank without creating agitation.
I don't want section control this year, but would like to add it in the future. Is the system upgradable?
All FMSA in-furrow and spray modules are designed to be upgradable. It is quite simple to add on desired features after initial purchase. FMSA strives to make our products work for any level of operation and grow with the needs of our clients without excess cost.
Can I just use a tank mix or do I need an injection unit?
It depends on the situation. In today’s liquid fertiliser market, a lot of products are compatible for tank mixing, however, injection modules are available for any situation that involves products that can’t mix and/or a second delivery point to prevent product mixing prior to the furrow.
How do I know if the product I'm using can be mixed?
Best option for finding out product compatibility is to speak with your agronomist or supplier. Here at FMSA we do have access to a range of chemists and the ability to test rare mixtures if needed.
