FAQ
What is Friction Flow?
Rather than a small restriction point, like an orifice plate or in line restrictor, Friction Flow uses larger internal diameter tubing over a distance to create an accurate and even metering system. Friction Flow is manufactured from the highest grade nylon for its chemical resistance, UV stability, and its wall strength to prevent kinking, crushing or internal distortion.
What Stops Friction Flow from blocking?
Larger internal diameter and faster flow of liquid through smaller delivery lines to secondary delivery manifolds minimises the chances of blocking when using more complicated liquid combinations.
What size does Friction Flow come in?
Friction Flow comes in three standard sizes internally; 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 2mm. Each tube size maintains the same external width of 6mm.
What filter size is required to be used with Friction Flow?
Due to the larger internal diameter of the Friction Flow tubing, systems can run as low as 16 mesh of suction filters with no pressure filters required. It is recommended that all filter sizes be discussed with FMSA prior to operation or installation.
Do you need covers for check valves?
No covers needed. FMSA’s check valves are designed to work in dusty, dry conditions without jamming or leaking.
Do you get drips out of the tubing?
Friction Flow when paired with FMSA’s manifold system holds liquid to the tip of the tube with no drips or dribbles.
Do you get leaks on the non-drip caps?
FMSA’s non-drips are designed to work under high pressures with the same products in spray applications without leaks. When running with Friction Flow pressure is lower at application.
